Disa Gay B. Camacaylan, PT, CMP

Disa Gay enjoys working with patients as a Physical Therapist since 2001 specializing in Geriatric and Orthopedic care. After earning her Physical Therapy degree in the Philippines (Manila Central University), She worked as a Physical Therapist and a fitness trainer before moving to Indiana to work in Long-term and Outpatient Physical Therapy settings. Her passion in helping people achieve their best life made her pursue different skills and knowledge in Physical Therapy over the years and continues to do so. She believes that in spite of the geographic remoteness of Hawaii, it does not mean that the level of Physical Therapy practice standards in the Big Island should be far from the current trends and standards of the profession if not better.

She devotes her free time to her husband and their 2 children savoring the joys of family life.

History of Mana Physical Therapy

Born out of the love of the people, the culture, and the land, Jonathan and Disa Gay started Mana Physical Therapy in 2014 after spending their honeymoon in the Big Island the year prior. Jonathan was fond of his time working and living as a Physical Therapist under the direction of Jean Thompson, PT at the Kamuela and Waikoloa area before moving to Indiana. That fondness related well to Disa Gay that both decided to relocate and experience what life has to offer in the North Hawaii area. Both immigrants from the Philippines and trained as Physical Therapists in their native country, Gay and Jonathan understand the wide spectrum of patient care across different cultures, lifestyle, generations, life experiences and backgrounds where everybody’s uniqueness is appreciated and celebrated. The Kamuela clinic opened in August 2014, followed by the Waikoloa clinic in January 2015. Our clinicians and staff members maintain high quality of service by seeking out the best and latest techniques in Physical Therapy.  Investments in certifications and continuing education enhance our ability to serve our clientele . These clinics are places of healing where hundreds of patients have graced us with their presence over the years. The Mana Physical Therapy Ohana will continue to serve our clients through the most satisfying and rewarding profession of all, Physical Therapy.
